So, I've been on a big Fender kick as of recent and decided I really wanted a Jaguar. That said, I also had a hankering for something that could deliver a P-bass tone. That said, I really wanted to try something active. With all that in mind, you'd can imagine how excited I was when this little gem popped up in the TB classifieds.

I bought it off of theschnitt (who I'd recommend to anyone, Pete's an awesome guy) and it plays like an absolute dream. Very solid construction, excellent fretwork, great intonation, and so forth right out of the bag. The control plate has been swapped out for an Audere JZ3 preamp (V, M/Bal, T/B) and the pickguard is from WDMusic (did I mention tort on black is one of my favourite colour combos) making for a very pretty and versatile little bass. The only thing I've done is string it up with a set of Black Beauties.

I know there's not a whole heck of a lot out there about the MP Jaguar Basses, but this is A LOT of bass for what you pay. With the Audere in there, it's an incredibly versatile instrument that you're not scared to take to a gig. Overall, I'm thrilled with the instrument and wouldn't hesitate getting a backup (if I had the room/cash to do so). I would recommend one of these to anybody.
