NDD! New Dingwall Day! Lee Sklar Model!

It's the standard Dingwall 3X pickup arrangement. Don't let the tight spacing fool you into thinking that they're all a lot of the same. On my Super J if I combine neck and bridge, middle and bridge, or neck and middle I get wildly different tones, and the same goes for solo'ing neck, middle, or bridge. I installed a 6-way switch to facilitate these options and it yields an absolute ton of different tones to choose from.

Can you ELI5 how the 3 pickups on the Lee Sklar model are different from each other? The Dingwall site describes 2 pickups, which I think is the previous Lee Sklar model.

I think the Sklar models all use Dingwall SF2 pickups, if memory serves. There are good examples of Dingwall’s different pickups on YouTube. I recently switched out FDVs for SF2s in my SJ. You can find my extensive write-up of the comparison in the Dingwall Club thread from back around November.

Imagine being so salty, you leave “rain on the parade” comments on someone’s new bass day thread.
You worded that much nicer than you could have :) or at least how I might have ;) Ignore all of the jealous and silly comments, there are a few.

It’s a bad@$$ bass, AND it’s yours!
Once again, congrats and play the hell out of it!!!
