Near Field Monitors Vs Digital Speakers

Hello there,

I have a question for you guys. I am about to buy myself a set of monitors for my home studio. I currently run a PC with a Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro sound card. I am not sure what speakers to use with this sound card??!!!
This soundcards supports digital speakers 24-bit/192khz, so I am not sure to buy normal powered monitors (e.g Behringher Truth B2031A) or a set of digital monitors (e.g. Behringher MS40)?

Anyone used digital speakers?

I will use them mainly to play Bass & electric guitar on them, and maybe mix some stuff I record. Nothing so professional needed. I heared good stuff for Behringher but also really bad stuff!! These are the cheapest i found in my country (malta-europe)!! any help please - thanks
