Neck 1st 12th fret contour variance

Researching Jazz bass neck contour profiles (1st, 12th, variance) for a new neck.

Vintage Fender Jazz basses have a thick 12th fret profile - 0.97" to 1", 0.18" to 0.20" variance.

Modern Fender necks have a 0.10" gap, and the boutique neck makers have a 0.07" gap.

Some online comments:

* a thicker neck will be stiffer and will resonate less, and therefore have more of the note fundamental

* a stiffer neck means a fuller tone, ie; the resonance frequency of the neck is higher

* a heavier neck moves the resonance frequency down

Therefore, for tone, have a stiff but light neck (plus feels comfortable), so less 12th fret chunk plus graphite bars is the way to go??

Hard to answer that question. Sounds to me like telling me the angles and proportions of a womans face and then asking me if that sounds like she would be pretty.

Im also not sure of the validity of the various premises.
