Double Bass Neck Bending?

I have Pirastro Eudoxa's on my A-D-G but I just put a Superflexible on my E. Since the tension is so much higher could/would/might the neck bend? I have a friend who mixed tensions on his bass and it messed up his neck. Could this happen and how could it happen? Thanks!

In 55 years of messin' with basses, i've NEVER heard of this happening. People have mixed string temsions since the beginning, so there has to be something else going on with your buddy's bass to mess up his neck.

Neck is too thin, and, most of all, the fingerboard too?
There is always some pull from the strings, but the bend is quite small usually.
