I was curious about the necks for the Dean Edge and Rhapsody series basses. Would it be possible to swap the necks between a Dean Edge 8 and a Dean Rhapsody 12? If so, would it also apply to any Edge versus Rhapsody bass?
Swapping bridges doesn't seem to be an issue, but the necks, I am certain, would be.
I am assessing the feasibility of this because Dean has yet to produce an Edge 12, yet only still produces a Rhapsody 12 (the others are all discontinued). Call me OCD, but if I was going to have 8 and 12 string basses, I would like for them to more closely resemble one another. I know that I can scour Ebay and Craigslist for used basses, but I am exploring all possible options.
