neck swapping

If you change from a 20 fret neck to a 22 fret, if they are the same scale, do I need to change anything in my design.

Just make sure that the distance from nut to bridge is 34". The 22 fret neck may not fit in the pocket, and it may be a different length, requiring you to move the bridge.

Darn it, the neck I have would put the bridge right in the pickup hole

Route the neck pocket in the body deeper, about 1", to put the bridge in the correct location.
