I'm hoping the TB community can help some confusion I have. I have a PBass body which I bought from company in NY. They did a great job and the quality of the body is really good.
The dilema I have is this, I installed a Fender neck and am using a Hipshot bridge. When I string the bass up I have to set the saddle screws at max just to get string clearance. So, I looked at the orientation of the neck and to my eyes the neck seemed to sit high in the pocket. I measured the pocket depth and found it to be dead on 5/8". I can for the life of me understnad why the neck is so high. I measured the pocket depth on a couple of Squire bodies I have laying around and found the neck pocket was a bit deeper which is contrary to what I've read about the Fender specs for the neck pocket. If anyone can clear this up for me, I'd really appreciate it!
