Need a bit of help finishing my cab.

So I just finished building my custom 2x10. But before I plug in and play I just need to make sure of a few things. Iv done A lot of research but cant seem to get a answer or im not sure about my understanding.

First, iv set up my two 4ohm speakers in series. As far as I know this would make it 8ohm. My reasoning for this is simply I need another 8ohm cab to go with my ampeg svt 410he to get 4ohm with my svt 4 pro. My other option is to wire it in parallels so it runs at 2ohm and just bi amp it having each cab into either channel on the 4 pro . Want to make sure doing either wont damage anything.

Secondly, I haven't really found anything to indicate whether I need a cross over or if I can wire the speakers directly to my speakon connection I installed.

Was wondering if any one can shed some light or can suggest better options.
 
1. Leave them in series for 8ohms as they are.

2. If there is no tweeter, no crossover or filters are needed, just wire the 10's straight to the jack.

3. I'd suggest running one cab off each channel so you can balance the power to each, as the 210 will likely run out of gas before the 410. One channel will be plenty to push either cab, no need to bridge the amp.

So setting up the two 10s to 2ohms wouldn't be a good idea? I ask because the main reason for setting up a second cab is volume. Im having to crank my head almost to full blast to hear my self when playing with my band. The 4 pro only pushes 300w at 8ohms.
 
I n my mind I would have gone for a pair of 8Ω drivers wired in series for 16Ω. This way you have the option of running both cabs from a single amp. This would give you 5.33Ω and each of the 10s will receive the same amount of power. With both at 8Ω you're not gaining much if anything. The 4x10 will be limited by the 2x10 to about the same level. You could well find that the result is less than the 4x10 by itself.
