Need a cheap but quality bass neck

I want to replace a slightly warped neck on a cheap ibanez.I realize I could buy another bass cheaper probably but it has sentimental value.I want to have it as a low tuned backup.Recommendations on where to find a cheap but quality neck.34" for a pj

I usually buy unfinished Allparts necks for my builds. They're indistinguishable from Fender necks (it's said that they used to make all the necks for Fender Japan). They're about $130 unfinished from the Stratosphere website ([This invalid link has been removed]). Finished necks cost a bit more, if you're not into doing finish work.

allparts has good necks (i've had a couple fretless necks: very good!), and i have a fretless, ebonol, mighty-mite that is also a great neck. however, the last three fretless necks i've purchased were chinese via ebay: the oldest one is only 18 months old (so: time will tell, i guess) but they are all very nice to play --- i can't tell the difference between any of them when playing!

TB classifieds are a good start. Less chance of a bum deal compared to other places. I scored with a decent Squier neck for a build. I'd be sure that you can return it and understand where it's coming from. Meaning - if it's coming from China (which might be OK depending on your feelings) you should know that.

Check the neck pocket dimensions. I don't know if the Ibanez differs from the 'standard' Fender dimensions.

An Ibanez bass has an odd neck pocket. Your options are very limited for aftermarket necks without a lot of woodwork .
