Need a Tuner that can register a Low G

Polytune 2 arrived and sadly it looks like it'll be going back.
I may have a faulty one but after 2 hours with it tonight including trying all the above advice, adding in a preamp (for volume boost on my passive fender jazz 5) and/or compressor too, it's just not registering that low G at all. Not even at the harmonic. To be honest it's clearly not keen on anything lower than B so while strongly suspect it's faulty, it's put me off.
Best get a bit more cash together and import that turbo tuner then. darn.

Checked out Stone Lotus (Liked on FB too) good stuff. Loving that the quotes from Doomed & Stoned, wish they were a bit more active again though.

UPDATE: picked up a Peterson Strobostomp 2nd hand for £35.00.
Also a Harley Benton Micro tuner pedal for £12.00 just because.
Loving them both.
The harley is cheap & cheerful & tiny but deals with tuning the g at the harmonic like a trooper and it's really bright. Pretty fast too.
The Peterson is fast & accurate copes perfectly with the open low G and lower. Bit of a big pedal but has added DI output functionality too. Turbo tuner still seems a better pedal (it's certainly faster) but I'm really happy with my Peterson.
