need advice on portable stage monitors

I do have separate mixes and eq for each monitor... I would love to go in ears (i use a wired in ear system as the drummer) but it is not practical in our budget

I'm in complete agreement on the IEM. But since budget is a bigger issue, the Thumps with a cheap Chinese dual 31 band on each is your best immediate option. But I wouldn't spend more than on the Thumps...that way you can save up and buy IEM's. We made the IEM thing an individual responsibility. We just said this is the way it needs to be, pony up boys and get what you can. We are all on Sennheiser's and Audio Technica's and really recommend them with some decent UE buds. But that is probably better than twice what you can get thumps and Chinese EQ's for. Or better yet, maybe find some of those Alesis single space twenty something band EQ's used and save the weight and rack space. should be able to find those for $100 or less, and with thumps at under $200 each, you can put together an easy to manage monitor rig.
