Need an amp suggestion, under $400

I have a friend that just bought my JBL Cabaret cab with an E140 JBL 15". She has a barn that's been converted into a play studio to host jams and play sessions for many years now. I used to leave a setup there and the last cab I left there was the JBL. I never thought of selling it but at this point in time , I'm not going to lug that cab around and if it's there I'll always know what I'm playing through.

Now she needs an amp. My preference is all tube but knowing where she lives it will be a hassle to bring the amp more than an hour away to get repaired. So, she's thinking SS or , if I have a say, possibly a SS with a tube preamp.

Would she consider going crazy and doubling up? Lol since it is a jam spot, how about a little variety, and go around $200 each on TWO 70s or 80s lead sleds... Peavey MK, Kustom, Acoustic and a few others that always sell cheap and bring a solid 200+ watts.

But for a single amp, there are so many used good, loud, reliable amps that are in that range! Hartke HA, GK 400RB, SWR has a few, Ampeg a few; the list goes on.

This is a single 8 ohm 15 cab? Keep that in mind too. Max power from the amp is like 60%.

She sent me a SWR , Pre-Fender, SM-400s that GC has for $230. I'm reading good things about it.

This is true, but she's looking at a SWR that has a bridge mode that would give the power.
