Need Bass recommendation

I need a bass with a built in preamp, extremely low action, fast neck, nut width about 1.75 inches(no wide necks please), 5 string and decent sound.
It also has to look appealing.

I'm willing to spend $1000.00 and yes it can be a used bass.

These parameters will be perfect for my playing style.

55-02 neck is gonna be too wide. Maybe a Shecter Stilleto even though I think they are ugly.

Don't know if a MM Stingray 5 fits all those parameters, but used they're around a grand and sound great.

I would go for the MM Sterling 5 string- fits all parameters + more = most bang for the $$$. Thinner neck + 3 band pickup switch, than Stingray

Excellent call -- especially if he goes with the H/SC version.

Check this out:

Only challenge will be meeting the $1,000 limit. New, it's out of the question but you might be able to swing a used one for that money.

Another option is a used Peavey CIrrus.

id say a spector rebop 5 or euro 5, but there necks might be a bit wide
