Need Help At Choosing One 5-String

I don't know about pickups etc so I can't compare them to each other. Can you share your knowledges and help me?

One of Schecter's 5-strings => I'm going to get a Diamond P-Custom 5 or Stiletto Elite 5.

And there is 3 more guitar. They are a little more expensive so I need your experience/advices about them to decide more logical. Of course I will try them but user reviews are much more better than the seller guy's.

Godin Freeway 5 => I have no idea about this guitar. Just read a few reviews and watched a few videos.

Mtd Kingston KA 5 => Same as Godin.

Ah, yeah, it depends where you are - due to exchange rates, ordering from thomann is currently a great deal for those of us in the US, but not so good elsewhere. And taxes, well... They'll get you one way or another!

Something important to keep in mind as you shop: Some fivers have much narrower string spacing than a typical four-string, whereas others retain the same string spacing as a four. For some people this makes a huge difference. The ones with narrower spacing have a narrower neck, but some people (including myself) have a very difficult time adjusting to the strings being so close together. I don't know which of the models you listed have which -- except for the Kingston Artist, which is the one I have now (it has the same string spacing as a typical four-string) -- but it's something that's important to take into account.

OP - I looked at the Schecter Stiletto Elite and really wanted one. Found one locally to try and did not care for it although the P 5 sounded pretty good. Keep Ibanez in the mix too if you like the neck profiles. They are making very good quality products right now. Now sure how much an ATK will run you but the Premium models are excellent and not as thin of a neck.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better five string for the money than the Schecter Diamond P5, as long as you prefer wider string spacing at the bridge than some (18mm) and the weight.

I saw one on Schecter's website not too long ago; factory direct for less than $400. I believe they are discontinuing the passive version.

My first 5er was a Schecter Stiletto Elite 5. That particular bass was the best playing and sounding 5er for less than $1500 in the Guitar Center I shopped at (and it was $600). I ultimately decided that the string spacing was too narrow for me, but they are - or were, 7 years ago - amazing basses for the money.

@darthplagis there is no big difference in prices if you pay in cash. But thank you I will try g&l tribute l2500 in The shop also.

@Sid Fang I think I will buy it unless spector or mtd amaze me a lot. It looks really cool and there are a lot of happy users.

Thank you all for your help. I will go to shop and shout bring me studio elite 5 :P and I will try your recommends also.

Absolutely no problems with it. I love it! I put Ken Smith slick rounds on it and its gold. I play mostly funk, rock, jazz and hip hop/R&B and it works well with all. Very versatile! I play it through a SWR 350 watt head with a swr megoliath 8x10 cab and the punch i get is amazing. I would definitely recommend Schecter.
