Need help i dont know what is wrong

ok, i have a Peavy Millennium AC BXF 5 string bass ive been playing for about half a year now and i get like a blah poop sound when i reach the top of the frets like the low notes on every string. i thought it was the strings wearing out so i went out a bought new ones still same sound any suggestions?

Check the battery. When it gets low it doesn't just get quieter, it gets ugly. My guess is that a new battery will fix it right up.

ehh sorry not the battery changed it and still same problem...........its like the strings are to close to the neck at the top so when it hits it theres no tone at all just nasty vibrations kinda

It's just a setup issue, go to your local guitar tech and get it set up there.

x2 if you dont know where or what the saddles are and how to raise them go to your local shop and have them fix it, its a setup issue
