Reita is one of my idol bass players from Japan, and I've always had an attraction to his bass: HH pickup configuration (with exposed pole pieces, which I don't recall seeing on the older ESP models, some of the newer ones in Japan have them), and spiffy control knobs, as well as a very smooth, and not so flashy design.

However, I've scowerd the ESP japan website, and looks like his bass was made specifically for him.

My question is, what other bass model (from any brand) closely resembles the one pictured here, in looks and features? Sorry I don't have any other specs on the instrument. :help:

As a side note, he recently switched over to a Jazz bass. According to an interview, he says he likes the look of his new bass better than his old one. What are your opinions? IMO, his old bass was perfect, I think that his new selection is a step down from what he had previously.

That first pic reminds me of a Warwick Corvette. The upper horn looks almost identical. I also prefer the looks of the first pic over the second. I've never really been a Jazz bass kind of guy.
