Need help, unwanted distortion

Hello this is my first post I'm sorry if it's in the wrong forum. Live I play two different basses, an SG for our low tunings and a Fender VM Jaguar for standard tuning. The Jag causes the amp to distort on certain notes (ex f#) I tried lowering the bass volume, amp volume, even used the SG to play the same note and nothing. The SG has more "beef" then the Jag and never causes unwanted clipping. I have flatwounds on the Jag could that be an issue?

sounds like it could be a problem with your pickups maybe???

thats what I was thinking. I have a dimarzio pickup in there, im going to open it and check all my wires and adjust the pole pieces
