Need help wiring up a 3-way pickup selector switch, please

Hi, my new-to-me '77 Ibanez SG/EB-3 double neck guitar/bass copy needed some work done to the bass side. Here's my thread documenting what I've been doing.

I need to know how to wire up a 3-way Gibson SG-style "L" shaped selector switch for the 2 humbuckers that I've intalled. The bass has a shielded wire w/ a braided metal sheath which was used for the ground, this runs from the 3-way bass/both/guitar switch.

Does anyone else think their schematic symbol for a humbucker is too close to the symbol for a transformer?

Yeah. I do. If it were me, I'd make it like the one they have only use FOUR lines for the magnetic core with a larger gap between the center two so it doesn't look like a transformer. Basically would look like two single coils with one of them reversed.

Two inductors with two lines between them like that means an iron core transformer. A humbucker is technically two inductors, but obviously they are not mutually inductive.
Honestly, I would just draw a box and label the connections rather than use inductor symbols.

But, there's a vol loss when both pups are on. I'm assuming that they're out of phase right?

That sounds normal to me. You usually get a drop in output when you put two coils directly parallel.

If the pickups were out of phase, you would have a thin, nasal tone.

Yeah, side-by-side inductors, or as I suggested, just a box.
Drawing a box would be better because not only does it allow you to label things better, it's more accurate, as a pickup is really a transducer with a complex impedance consisting of an equivalent inductance, capacitance and resistance.
