Ok, so I am relatively new to the serious bass scene. I just purchased a Lakland Darryl Jones 4 string with the Lindy Fralin J pups, and love it to death!
But I am running through a not so great Fender Bassman 100. This amp does not seem to be loud enough for me. I can get it louder, but I just don't want to damage the speaker. So I was thinking about getting a half stack, or full cabinet and I need help with what to get.
I know many people have different opinions, but I would appriate hearing what you have to say about specific amps and why you like/dislike them. Like I said, I am just really opening my eyes to the whole bass scene.
I know the basics, but I think I really need help just deciding on what details would be important (especially in a head), like tube vs solid state, or GK vs Eden. Thanks for your time and input!
