need help with EQ

im not sure if this is the right thread and if it's not..my bad.::: i just put in the order for a avatar b212 neo cab and a Little mark 2 head (my first ever rig of my own) and i play for my church..........in a gym....and im not to good with my EQ and was wondering what EQ settings would YOU use in a gym like highs and lows and tone ect ect....... I play a MIM fender p bass and a epi thunderbird if it maters thanx in advance

In a gym probably less bass than you'd like, it's going to sound boomier and muddier to the audience than it will to you. A bit of upper midrange for clarity wouldn't hurt either. I'd say take the settings the way you like it at home, lose a little bit around 100hz and add a little bit around 700hz. And this is totally general advice from someone who has never seen or heard the space you are playing in. YMMV
