Double Bass Need help with head & cab for double gigs

I am currently using an iAMP 500 with a radial bigshot ab box (which has a tuner/mute and level adjustment on it...great little ab box) a Fishman Pro Platinum EQ into a Berg HT112 and sometimes I put an EX112 under it for more ooomph. I run my kay w/ a realist into the Pro Platinum into the ab box and my Zon into the ab box and then switching between the two is very easy and quick...and I just stomp on the tuner/mute to tune quietly. I also will use an Epifani UL 502 with a Pollman upright w/ realist into a pro platinum eq into one channel and a Zon into the other channel into a Berg HT112 as well and that is a great rig to do doubling gigs with. There are so many variables involved and so many good products out there to choose from. If you can actually get to a store with good bass gear, sit down with your axe(s) and ab everything and choose what sounds the best to you. Sometimes certain gear can sound great on paper, but can turn out to sound not so hot when you actually sit down and play through it. Hope you find a good setup that works for you.

Specs say both are rated for 350 watts at 8 ohms. My guess would be that if you want to get the most out of them, you'd want the focus.

JeffKissell said he uses the AI Clarus with the Berg HT112. Will the AI Clarus 2R be enough power for the Berg HT112ER and the EX112ER if one should add that? Or would the best bet be the Focus 2R?

The Clarus was partially economics for me. If I were to do it over I would probably get the Focus. I really like the EQ section of AI amps.
That being said, the headroom of the Clarus has never really been a factor with URB or slab for me so far. (I mostly play URB)
FWIW, the AI heads don't mind 2 ohm loads at all so you could run two 4 ohm cabs with a Clarus and get mighty loud.

Now I'm finally getting somewhere. I've found that the best thing for me to do is buying an amp from USA (I'm in Norway), and cabs in Norway. That means I won't have so many options, but it will be the least hassle if something should happen with them. I will go for the Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0.

So, what cabs. I've finally gotten to a shop where I can try some of the cabs you have talked about in here. I tried one and two Aguilar DB112's with an Eden WT 550 head. Both a Fender Precision and a Sadowsky Metro 5-string sounded incredible to me, and I was able to get a decent DB sound with the RS II plugged right into the Eden head without too much know twiddling. Of course, I've got almost nothing to compare it with. The price of the Aguilars are not too bad here either. (The Eden head is $2200 here and $1199 in USA, therefore not an option). But, when I got home and searched this forum, I found out that the DB112 is a rear ported cab and for some that seems to be a problem for some. Is it a problem? Do the cabs have to be placed into a wall to work properly? Is a couple of GS112's a better alternative? Finally, do you think one and sometimes two DB112 or GS112's will work with the Shuttle 6.0? I can't see any other alternative than Aguilar that has been mentioned as good for doubling on this forum, that I can get a hold of here in Norway.
