Need Help With Live Sound (DJ/PA Topic)

Hey guys,

I'm a DJ and I need some speakers and a power amp for an upcoming house party.

I'm thinking about getting 2 Peavey PV115's and a Crown XLS 402D.

Active speakers are also an option, but I haven't found anything good.

I need something that will have a good amount of bass.

My budget is around $600-$700. I am thinking that 300 Watts should be more than enough. Anything is better than my JVC stereo. :p

Thanks,
Keith

QSC K12's have a 3 position DSP switch to voice the speaker to the application. The "deep" setting delivers unbelievable bass for such small boxes.

The Peavey boxes are good value for money but unless you're bi-amping them, they need a fair amount of eq before the horns sound acceptable.
