Okay, so my current amp setup is a series 3 carvin Redline 600W head on an Ampeg B410hlf. The setup sounds smooth as butter with the knob at two and lower, but becomes muddy as all hell when set any higher. anyone have any ideas? thanks!

A New cab!!! Sorry but IME those cabs get pretty slushy at higher vols. I tried the cab U got & bought the SVT410HLF... sold it a yr later for a Bergantino NV610....lighter, more powerful, far easier to transport & SO much more clarity- without sounding 'modern'. Not saying U HAVE to get a NV610 but many other cabs will perform what U want a fair bit better IMO.
