Need Help With Recording Setup Please

Okay well I only have $800 to spend for a vocal condenser mic (it would be cool if the mic could record electric guitar decently) and an interface. Right now I'm stuck with still using garageband but I was hoping to get better software. I'm just trying to get some half decent recordings with my band done, So I would like it if I could get feedback on what I'm trying to buy. Maybe other suggestions if possible. thank you!

This is what I was thinking of getting:
-Blue Bluebird Condenser Microphone $300
-PreSonus FireStudio Mobile 10x6 FireWire Interface $250
-Logic Express 9 $200

Give Reaper a try as a DAW. Free to try and only like $60 or so if you decide to keep it. It's on the honor system too, it's not cripple ware, just one little nag screen at at startup after the trial period expires. I (and many others) have said that it's about as good as many other DAW's that cost hundred's and it comes with a bunch of VST's included.

I'm using a Focusrite Saffire that I picked up for $200. These retail for $399 with a street price of $299. I searched around for the best deal I could find great deal and then did a Music 123 price match. I'm pretty happy with the interface though it does have it's quirks. Sometimes it loses the firewire connection only fixable by a reboot, but this could be more a computer problem than a problem with the interface.

Finally don't be afraid to shop used you may find you can afford more/better gear going this route.

+1 on Reaper. It will blow your mind, over and over again.
How many mic inputs do you need? Do you plan to do any drum recording?
Do you have any studio monitors? No use recording if you don't know what your tracks sound like.
When you come back with some more information, we can help you figure out a good plan of action.
