Need Help with this stingray

I'm thinking of getting this musicman stingray, but i need help, this ones a 2 band eq with piezo pickups at the bridge, sunrise finish with translucent pickguard american birds-eye maple neck, and its 760 quid. 1989 model i think.

Should i go for it? or should i go for something else, or should I falk out more and get a new model of the stingray?

is it just as good as the most recent Stingray model, soundwise aswell

my friend recently got one and unless you really want a 3 band eq and you want loads of mids get a new one

but you really cant beat the feeling of a well aged hard played guitar

760 is a fair price

I don't know what quid is because I'm in the states... so can't help you on whether or not price is fair. However, I actually prefer the late 80's and early 90's Stingrays to the modern ones especially if it has the wheel truss rod over the "bullet" style. I own a '91, '92, and '96. I like them all but the 91 probably sounds the best. The 96 is a close runner-up.
