need help with yamaha 424 bridge pickup

hi

my yamaha 424 bridge pickup was broken so i had to rewire the bridge pickup but i didn't know the pickup model and it's dc resistance. so i rewired it with aq_jb seymur duncan jazz and it's 8.72 dc resistance.

now the bridge pickup sounds amazing and the neck pickup too but combination of neck and bridge pickup sounds very thin and not bassy. i loved the sound of combination of neck and bridge any suggestion how to fix the problem?

Could be the replacement bridge pickup being out of phase with the neck pickup. Try reversing it ? Without checking for polarity beforehand, you have 50:50 chance to get it right the first time

That is exactly what to try first. Just swap the + and - leads from either pickup and see what happens. I've had it fix many basses, even when the wiring colors were "correct" on the diagram.

thank you . swaped the + and - from the bridge pickup now the the volume of bridge pickup and combination is low but the neck pickup volume is so high.

Bridge pickup should be closer to the strings. Since your pickups are from different manufacturers, you're going to have to adjust the height of one, or both, for them to be balanced with each other.
