Need help

There are no pedals which are basic for every player but if you are looking to achieve bass tones in the style of your influences I would start with some overdrive and go from there.

Of all the stuff I've tried over the years, I like the chorus and the Sparkle drive enough to leave them out there. The next favorite is the Mutron 2 phaser. I don't use it much, but when I need it, it's the "right tool for the job". Nothing like it for slow, grinding depth with a bass.

Went without a compressor for 15 yrs now ill never play without it. Aphex punch factory. Pricey but worth it. You don't wanna go cheap on a compressor. Plus it's a solid d.i. I love the korg pitch black tuner. Damn acurate, works as a power brick, and mutes. Then an MXR M80 maybe a ehx big muff.
