The Malekko B:Assmaster is hands down the best out there, you get what you pay for though, it even comes with Hill Billy teeth inside of it! The way it sits in the mix with a band sets it apart from the rest, it's like a hot knife through butter!
Another honorable mention is the IdiotBox Blasteroid Fuzz has less control and has a more open sound doesn't have the gnarly gate the Malekko has either. They are both amazing octave fuzzes that are different enough for me to rock them both on my board!

Lots of great options, right now I’m really loving the Death By Audio Fuzz War and Lone Wolf Iron Fist. Not cheap pedals, but great ones.
Nah, I wouldn’t be that worried. If I was, I would buy two and have one as a backup, rather than go through the hassle of rehousing.

I think he is spot on when he said the analog pedals generally nail it or come very close to the pedals they’re based on, whereas there’s more obvious differences with the digital units.
For their price they’re also safe candidates for testing out your circuit bending and modding skills on.

My favorite fuzz pedals are Darkglass Duality and Aguilar Fuzzistor at this time.

I really, really love this pedal but wouldn’t ever think to recommend it for someone looking for their only fuzz. Good call on this one.

There’s lots to like with it. Although in all fairness EHX’s Green Russian Big Muff reissue is equally good sounding and less than half the price. I think the Formula B still edges it out slightly as far as tone and texture goes. But it’s not a huge difference.
I got a few of the fuzz boxes here and more.. Try the B.E.A.D. FUZZ BY HIERO

I played through this a couple weeks ago and it's killer. Low end stays intact too.
If you are interested in an octave fuzz, I would highly recommend the Hiero B.E.A.D. It can also get great gated sounds.
There are a million different fuzz pedals out there, so you’re gonna get a million different answers. Personally, I like the Mxr Bass Fuzz Deluxe the best out of what I’ve tried. I also had a Way Huge Pork and Pickle which was a really versatile fuzz/overdrive. The pork and pickle sounded great, and it did a really good Russian Muff sound(if that’s what you’re into), but ultimately I decided the MXR was more for me.
