Need pickguard suggestions please

Just acquired a Fender P, black and rosewood. It wears a tort guard but I want to change it up. I also have a red tort and black guard. Looking for something different. Suggestions? Please post a pic!

I'd keep it just like it is! Looks great. That's a nice, rich-looking rosewood.

I like Baltic Amber pickguards, but on that black P, I don't think it would look any better than the tort it's wearing.

You should keep the tort with the rosewood board, and change the one with the maple board to gold anodized or gold pearl.

What about making one out of a vinyl floor tile. Cost you a buck. Done this myself. Easy to do using current guard as a template. The https://www.talkbass.com/threads/lineoleum-pickguard.534643/

The one I did looks like I should have not had the straight edge at the bottom, but it was just a concept thing to see how easy or not so easy it was. The vinyl edges sand well too, to smooth out

Change the maple one to black, and keep the other as is.

I put a VERY rare lefty Fender gold anodized guard on mine. Red tortoise also looks great on black.

If you want to change the pickguard on the rosewood, I would go with mirror ala Phil Lynott.

If you decide to keep the tort ( looks good) , change the maple one from tort to gold or 3 ply black.

This. Keep the tort on a rosewood board P and get anodized Al for the maple one. Both are killer combos.

I have silver Aluminum on my blue burst. But gold looked good too. The Gold color varies on those. From very Gold to faint almost silvery gold. But this is silver

Almost every thing looks nice on a black body but spitfire as per below would be my suggestion followed very closely by red tortoise.

I always think tort on a black P bass is the best look when you have a dark board like Rosewood or Ebony. I would change up the Maple neck bass with a different pick guard.

I'd go black on black personally. But I'm a fan of the darkness when it comes to my basses.

(Idk if the pic quality, but man, that tort guard on there now is kinda hideous )
