Need pickguard suggestions please

Just acquired a Fender P, black and rosewood. It wears a tort guard but I want to change it up. I also have a red tort and black guard. Looking for something different. Suggestions? Please post a pic!

^^ This ^^ There's just something about a single-ply Matte Black pickguard that looks so "hotrod" on a solid-colored body, IMO.

flat black and some torts (not all) work....black is an easy color to work with.

Sorry to say..... the neck are off.

Change the maple one to black, and keep the other as is.

Easy! Just like Yahboy and nnnnnn said, keep the tort on with the rosewood; and put a 3-ply (Black/White/Black) on the one with the maple board.

(and the rosewood fret board would make it pop even more)

I'm not affiliated, but I think a custom Alper would look good on it.

Not a p-bass but my wife picked-up this guard for me on ebay, dressed up the Ray a bit. Shop around, lots of places have aftermarket guards and custom ones as well.

I like the original tort although that's not the nicest tort I've ever seen Bit manic. But I like the brown tort.
Not sure about red. Maybe find a little more subtle brownish with a hint of reddishness to it. More classic tort in other words. That's what I would do anyway.

I'm with mint or parchment. They are easy and pleasy and you don't have to be troubled with the tort.

I've used vinyl car wrap on 2 pick guards. On my Fender P-Bass I used black vinyl carbon fiber. I blacked out my bass. Replaced everything that wasn't black with black.
