Need Replacement 10" Trace Elliot Celestion?

Hi forum readers,

I recently bought a 2x10" Trace Elliot 1028H cab online to go with my 15" cab only to find out one of the speakers is shot.

This puppy is supposed to handle 400W, so I need to something to replace the one speaker (or both) that can handle my 500W head. Suggestions as to suppliers or alternative speakerss that will work in that ported cab.

Well, I'm certainly not a speaker specification genius, so take that into account.

First, if it's rated at 400w I wouldn't even blink before sending 500 into it. Of course, I live on the edge.

Anyway, check with the guys at Avatar. I picked up a pair of 10" Celestions over there a while back to drop into an old 2 x 10 Hartke cab and they sound really good. (The price was pretty darn good too.) In any case, give them a call and I'm sure they'll be happy to discuss the specs with you and give you some guidance. Nice people to work with.
