Just a thought. Is anyone visiting you? Rather han ship, it might be cheaper and better to have them bring it a checked bag. Just a thought.

I just don't trust baggage handlers, when I moved here they forgot one of my dogs at the Dallas airport, and I even tipped the guy beforehand!!!

last time I went back home I got the chance to watch them work....scary stuff if you have any breakable or high value items, dropping suitcases from their truck, tossing stuff like they really hate their jobs

Heavy amps pop bubble warp and crush foam "peanuts or popcorn" which is what they will use.

I shipped an amp about a month ago from FedEx, and I was actually told that they no longer use peanuts. Of course, that may have been that particular FedEx store.

yeah that's why I posted here, awhile back I called a UPS store here and one in MN, and heard 2 very different prices , there seems to be a serious disconnect between stores, also I haven't seen anyone talk about shipping a heavy tube amp as far as I might, most of the time its conus, but I think I got plenty to work with here for having it packed properly and a few good possible options
