Need Some Cabinet Suggestions

Ok, so let's get this out of the way: I'm old. That said, let's move on now.

I'm using an Epifani 2x10 cabinet, which I love, but yes, even THAT is too heavy for my old bones. I'd like to get something that will fly with my Little Mark II head and will give me the same kind of punch I get from the Epifani, but something that is smaller and lighter. At which time I will sell the Epifani, probably on here.

I am playing gigs that mostly have me in the house PA, theaters of anywhere from 125 up to 650 seats. But for the occasionally smaller gig, it would be nice if the amp could cut the gig on it's own.

I should have mentioned that it does NOT have to be a 2x10 cabinet. If a 1x12 would work, sign me up.

Epifani UL? Guessing yours is the older, heavier T series. If its the UL series 210, good luck finding anything lighter than that!

Anything with neo speakers would be light. AE, CN, etc

+1 on bergs. I love my CN210 but I don’t think any berg 210 is any lighter than a UL210. I don’t think any 210 is lighter than a UL210, by any substantial amount anyway.

I agree with Bergantino too. I’m 66 and use a Bergantino CN112 which are only available used. However, the new HDN112’s are 28lbs and very similar.

Depends on how much firepower you need. I'm not sure of the weight but I'm sure it is an easy Google job.

Sounds like you are ready to abandon the back line and move to IEM's and a small FX board. Or, maybe just IEM's and a preamp pedal w/cab sim. Can't get any lighter than that and the whole rig will fit in a briefcase.

Another vote for Bergantino, I have a CN112 and a CN210. The 210 is heavier (33 v 28 pounds) but IMHO is easier to carry as it is well balanced and it works great for gigs being a tad taller. Current neo line is the HDN series. For rehearsals and jams I have a Barefaced One10 which is great but morecolored than the Bergs.

you might also wanna check out Genz Benz if you can find older cabs. 1X12 or 2X10 shuttle. both around 22-26 pounds. I have 1 of each, sound great. I believe they are about 600 watt.
