Guitar through a bass amp.

I have an Ampeg PF20T that I use for both bass and guitar, it sounds great for both. I tend to play guitar fairly clean and this amp stays pretty clean even when the volume is pushed. Any of you other bass and guitar players using your bass amps for both?
Yes, because I only have one amp to begin with. I played my guitar through my Ampeg RB-112 bass amp and it sounded wonderful! Not surprisingly, there was way better bass response than through my headphones.

I watched an interview with Paul Gilbert where he talked about touring internationally. He mentioned having an Ampeg SVT on his rider because he didn't know what kind of amps they would be able to provide in places like India. He said it didn't necessarily sound great, but he knew Ampeg should be available just about everywhere, and he'd get a reliable amp.

My #1 amp is a ‘66 Selmer Treble N Bass 50 mk ii; thrives with double-duty.
An alternate branch of RCA/Bassman lineage, using English and European parts. 2-channel, 6-knob 6-tube circuit: (3) ecc83, (2) el34, gz34.

New tube bass amp build is up and running now. Sounds great for acoustic guitar with both my AudioKinesis and DIY 8" + horn cabs. For electric I may try adding a horn disable switch, but probably best to just build a dedicated 112 guitar cab. The new amp is a 100 watter but I'm running it in 60 watt mode for now, and I'd probably keep running it that way for guitar.

4 X EL-34, preamp section is my own design using 12SL7/12AU7, and the power amp board is a NOS commercial one that was surplus repair stock from a now defunct company.

there is kind for tradition of this sort of thing with heavier music like black flag, kyss, queens of the stone age, and tool and the folks influenced by them

my old roomate used to play his sg through my mesa/orange rig for his guns and roses solo household jams
