One thing I had a problem with was that there were three prongs on the power jack i used recently. I still don't know what the third one was, some sort of ground maybe?

i tried putting what i am quoting right now in my sig, but it would be too long.
Yours looks older. Yours looks like it's got silver screws on the PCB (mine are black). and yours has a DPDT switch (mine has a 3PDT switch - perfect for true bypass mods).
Mine is stock other than that blue LED.
The pedal is also fried now, but that's a completely unrelated thing![]()

Peter, whats the status of your BMS? is it still fried? do you have to get a new one?
Vewwy Interwesting... I thought something looked different in your photo... Have you played around with your synth, other than your current mods? I ask, cos mine is different....
I have 3x extra caps and an extra wire...

IMO, true bypass is a must with this pedal because of the input gain trimmer. You have to have it true bypassed to know if your signal level is at pretty much unity or whether you're losing or increasing your straight signal.

So, yeah... I was really late on getting my BMS to EHX for repair - I didn't send it until about the middle of last month. But that doesn't matter anymore...
I just got it back yesterday, and it's as good as new! I now remember why I loved this pedal so much, and I'm going to have to make some room on my board somehow. I know it's my original because of a few mild but distinct scratches on the front. I'd take a photo, but the next thing that's going in for warranty repairs just so happens to be my camera. :scowl:
...they took out my blue LED mod, though
I'll just re-do that mod, and if it still needs true bypass, I'll be doing that, too. I haven't had the opportunity to open it up because my tool kit is over in Sacramento with my brother... Floyd Rose bridge nightmares. I should've taken my screwdrivers with me... I don't know why I didn't!
I might still have one around somewhere that'll work. Or I could just buy a backup kit.
When you redo the mod, don't let your kitten get near it![]()
That's a nice thread, with a happy ending and lots of useful info.
