Need some help with strings?

I have 2 Ibanez SR basses that I've always used Elixers and I love them but they are expensive. What I would like to know is there a similiar string that provides clarity and punch but not the cost lol? I play praise and worship and finger style playing. Any help with alternative strings that would give me the clarity of the Elixers?

Hmm...just about any good roundwound string will be as clear or clearer than Elixirs, since Elixirs are just roundwounds with a coating over them. Start with D'Addario XL's, which should be available just about anywhere. Or order them from www.bassstringsonline.com if you want the best price.
