Need some solid advice

Have an Ampeg rackmount bass amp. Specs = 200 Watt at 8 ohms and 350 Watt at 4 ohms.

Considering picking up a Gallien-Krueger-410MBE-II-4ohm-Amplifier that's 800 watts max. to pair with the Ampeg.

Will these two get along or will I soon be looking for a bigger bass amp?
If so, what wattage would you recommend? Looking for clarity over everything else. Thanks, in advance, for the advise.

I always hear good things about GK and Ampeg gear existing together.

You should be loud enough with a 410. Typically 300 watts is plenty when everyone plays at moderate volume.
If your drummer and guitarist are loud, 500 watts would be a recommendation to better match their volume or adding another 410.

Your post is just a little confusing because you're using the word "amp" rather imprecisely. The GK 410 is not an amp, but a cabinet (cab). So, when you ask if you'll soon be looking for a bigger bass amp, I'm not absolutely certain what you're referring to.

Also, could you identify exactly what your current Ampeg amp model is?

(oh, and, to address what I think your implied main question is: the fact that the cab is rated at 800w is fairly meaningless, and it will work fine with a 350w amp)

Sorry about calling the Gallien-Krueger-410MBE-II-4ohm an AMP. It is, in fact, a speaker Cab. The Ampeg bass amp I have is a B2R. 200W @ 8 Ohms. 350W @4 Ohms The sales guy at Guitar Center told me this Amp was made in the USA but it does not say that on the back. The Gallien-Krueger-410MBE-II-4ohm is 800 Watt made with that Neo material.... I'm just not sure if I should go with an 8 ohm in the event I ever want to add a 15". My priority is Light weight and smooth sound at classic rock volume levels. No heavy metal. Any thoughts?
