That's correct - just keep those roots pumping. This was one of the first songs I learnt on bass. It's a great song despite the simple bassline. I really like U2's early work. Not too keen with their later albums, but their latest album is better.

I think POP is one of their most underrated albums. The lyrics on that album are simply amazing, imo...

I agree w/ oddenttity. I think Bono and Edge let Adam and Larry have some fun on the first three songs on POP. But my favorite U2 cd is Zooropa. I don't have a problem with bands breaking their mold.
