Needle in the haystack - Gorny

Wow, now THAT will be a challenge! I grew up in Chicagoland and was aware of Gorny, and that he did nice work. But never even saw one of his basses, ever.

That said, there was a Gorny 8 string on ebay maybe three years ago. Very rad looking, nice woods. It went for $450 I believe. Since then, nada.

If they don't show up on ebay, they must be scarce indeed.

Good luck with your quest.

Gorny did all my work back when I played for a living. He brought me a bass one night - a dream bass. He asked me to try it out. Awesome bass. He wanted (are you ready for this?) $350 for a handmade custom bass. I did everything I could at the time, but couldn't come up with the money.
When he first made a name for himself, he was doing guitars - The Hounds used them, and my guitarist bought one from somebody. They were beautiful pieces.
