Yes, the Rickover bass - the first, and only, bass to be nuclear powered. Forget your passive wimps, your whiny battery-powered actives, the Rickover is a true man's bass.

The term "Rickover" should be coined as the feeling you get when opening a brand new Rickenbacker with finish flaws and expired warranty card.
I'm sure with all that metal and hardware one can be fashioned there somewhere. That being said, and although I have my grudges with those things, I hereby declare myself firmly in the positive category....... for now.

While I like their sound ... particularly when played through an overdriven tube amp for that gnarly rock sound, their ergonomics have never worked very well for me. This guy demonstrates how difficult they are to work on ...
Hey, I know that guy— he sits on his porch with a garden hose to chase people away, while loudly declaring that we “gooched” his lawn many years ago. Doesn’t he know that a quality lawn is one which is easily repaired?
I enjoy Dave’s videos, even though I completely disagree with him about Rics. It’s this terrible habit I have of thinking for myself— it often conflicts with the internet
People with smaller hands prefer Ibanovers, whilst others prefer Stingrovers.
