As a long time teacher with quite a good library of music I have tried to help students by lending them material as they need it to progress. I recommend that they buy a core of material (Simandl, etc) or take copies and return them to preserve the originals . I know the group of past students at that level to benefit from them but occasionally treasured books have gone astray and no-one owns up.
To my joy I have found two replacements for lost treasures on line as pdfs. One is Knut Guettler's Advanced Techniques for Double Bass that is long out of print. His daughter has made this 80-odd page book available for free to Google on line, bless her. I was able to work through this with Knut during a short visit to Oslo while revising my teaching methods and still treasure the experience.
The other was Sturm 110 Studies that I found on IMSLP. This was my missing go-to book when I came back to practicing and playing after a long break forced by Covid. There is no need to download more than a few pages at a time and the short varied musical studies in different keys are at about orchestra level.
I heartily recommend downloading these free pdfs onto your desktops.
