Do you find many nerdy geeks are baseball fans ?...my baseball question stands.
That's a good point. Sports aren't quite nerdy. There's an argument for saying that knowing tons of stats and facts about any particular subject is nerdy, but I don't think sports count as nerdy or geeky.Do you find many nerdy geeks are baseball fans ?
I think nerdy or geeky is whatever we choose it to be. There may be pockets of individual nerdiness that we don't all share but it is nerdy just the same. That's a good point. I'm completely OK with that.We get your point - you're not a baseball fan. Believe it or not, not everyone has to agree with you.

Walter Aston? Does managing count as playing?
Yes indeedy.
On the baseball question, I had to look it up. You would have to be a serious fan of the game to know that answer, so it is a fantastic trivia question. I hope to use it to devestating effect in the future. Thanks Bulldog!
Phil Cavarretta?Nope - player. Only because you are a good guy (although you never come visit anymore), one more hint. He spent his entire playing career in the same city.
Did you know he left the Cubs for the White Sox the last two years of his career? We have a winnah
