Neutral fret on a multiscale fretboard!

The OG Fan fret by Novak is the most natural, If you ever played a bass with the Novak Fan fret you will the difference and where it is perpendicular is counter intuitive but works. Ibanez seems to have just placed in arbitrarily and maybe even Kiesel

Just looked at a couple Novax guitars and they mostly have the perpendicular point between the 9 and 10 fret. Which mostly makes me wonder whether there's an ergonomic advantage to doing it a little differently for basses rather than guitars.

Ibanez has experimented with where to put the perpendicular -- but currently I think that each of their product lines (Soundgear, BTB, EHB, whichever guitars as well...) probably have different design leads who each have their own ideas over where it should go.

The Ibanez EHB I have has the "neutral" point somewhere around the 7th-8th and the Novax and Kiesel basses I can image search seem to have roughly the same
