True. And never run bridged unless one channel is incapable of delivering adequate voltage swing to drive your speakers to full output. That's very seldom the case with less than 8 ohm loads.Never EVER use a 1/4" cable for bridge operation. It's dangerous to both you and your amp. Both the tip and the sleeve will be hot to ground and twice as hot to each other. If the metal of the plugs touches any ground the second channel of your amp could well be toast.
