New 3leaf Pedal???

Spencer!, will you be offering the LP/BP external switch as standard on the production model, or will you have an option for customers between external LP/BP and internal LP/BP/HP?

I haven't made up my mind yet, but the consensus seems to be for an external LP/BP switch. I don't build pedals to order, so options are tough for me to deal with. I'll choose one and stick with it.

I was curious too, so I asked:

the Nautilus is not done yet so there's no real info out there. Jared approached me some time back to ask if I'd be willing to do a reissue of the Mutron Octave Divider - according to him, the best octaver ever. So that's where the Nautilus starts.

The additions I've made are to add true bypass, add a little more control and usability, and most importantly to change from a built-in mains power cord to a special power supply that will run on a standard 9v pedal power brick, 1-spot, etc.

As far as the pitch tracking and audio circuits, they are completely faithful to the original. It will come in a hand-etched enclosure, 4.5" x 5.5". The price will be $295.

I should have a page on my website for it in the next few weeks with pictures, sound clips, and more in-depth info.

Among other things, Taylor has built a Ring Stinger clone, a pitch tacking ring mod, his "dubstep filter" (the bubble chamber) and a whammy clone that he programmed himself. So when he said that the Mutron Octaver was the most difficult build he'd undertaken my ears perked up.

When you throw in the smaller size and voltage conversion to let in run off 9V I knew it wouldn't be cheap.

But it is still half the price that a good condition original would go for on eBay.

Mine is going to be a bit different as I asked for some special features (no ringer circuit, a couple goodies, different controls) but the normal version will have the exact same audio path as the original.

The controls may be a bit different/improved (likely separate knobs for wet and octave down), it will be smaller, true bypass and powered off 9V but will sound exactly like the Mutron.

i think he went with utron as the name, since thats what he wrote on the invoice. i still think funk capacitor is the best name hands down.

The name Funk Capacitor has semblance with Groove Regulator. The product line would depict more cohesiveness.
