and lol that fish tank ensemble is amazing, though never heard of them before now.
Act II by the Protomen is my favorite new album at the moment, not sure if it's on itunes yet, its a truly awesome rock opera about a dystopian mega man universe.
My other suggestion is Give Me Fire! by Mando Diao, search for the song Dance With Somebody and if it doesn't get you hooked I don't know what will. cheers!

let the dominos fall by rancid. great album. or rancids classic album,"and out come the wolves" has some wicked bass lines 
That was some of the worst music ever recorded. Such an overrated album. Mediocre at best in my opinion. There are much better hard rock bands out there.
For new Double Bass oriented releases I wouldn't hesitate to recomend :
