New Amp Day - VOX VX50BA

One thing that would make it better is a 2x8".
The perfect setup for me would be this as a head into a RevSound 2x8".
Unfortunately the heads like this are lacking the EQ options & compressor.

Though if I'm being honest with myself it is loud enough with that single 8".
It might just be a psychological thing, thinking I need more or bigger drivers.

wow--- the Marshall guys musta been hungover :)

-- I can make this statement honestly because I have owned MANY Marshalls-- and currently have one -- so-- I know--- :)

I have the dreaded DOUBLE sickness-- I play guitar and BASS-- so the gear GAS is never ending -- (I used to play drums too (talk about $$$ for GEAR UGH) -- but dont have the room for a kit now --thank goodness!)

It didnt rival the DSL--but we are talking a VOX for 200 bucks VS a Marshall DSL costing 800 -- and a Marshall Valvestate at -- around?? uhm dont even remeber what they went for new -- it was the 80's man!! lol

and -- does it KILL them (no) -- but for a CHEAP easy to transport amp-- that can do BOTH decent bass AND rocking guitar -- in one package -- im very impressed.
I bought this and an ASHDOWN rootmaster 220 combo at the same time-- rootmaster was EXTREMELY disappointing -- And sold yesterday---
the VOX is here to stay !!!

Learning the subtleties of the NUTUBE-- very interesting -- and I will pack this little thing along on any vacation or business trip-- will I haul a DSL40 around for "noodling in my hotel room on a business trip"-- uhm NO
or on a vacation in the RV with the FAMILY ---- CURSE YOU HELL NO --- -but the vox in its durable housing and no fuss size-- YES!
