New Amp help

Have tried most of these options. Ended up with thunderfunk 800b2. Just a great head built like a tank, great eq, similar circuit design as swr and Eden. Di is super nice on it too. First amp I've had where I'm not thinking of new amps.

I run mine through a berg hs210 and hs410 at 2.7 ohms. That combo is fantastic. I play in a jam band too. Rig works awesome for large outdoor stages great. Or I just bring the 210 for smaller club gigs

I am thinking I like the way the Berg 6x10 is looking, but I have been hooked on 12's. So maybe a 4x12 cabinet. See, my whole speaker setup I chose because of weight. They are extremely light and I can lift them without anyone's help.

Be very weary. Ever since Washburn washed them out their customer service sux. And now I think they're made in China. If u want good loud amp that works at 2ohms i'd say Aguilar 750 or 751(not sure if the 751 runs @ 2ohms??) You can run 4 8ohm cabs. or 2 4ohms. @ 2ohms i think ur running @ 900 watts.

Hmm. G-K is USA made and G-K has great CS too. Just out of curiosity - why have you ruled out G-K, for example the MB800 or Fusion?

PS: Hopefully you can get your SWR repaired.

From the Eden forum close to the end of 2011:

Effective immediately, Eden is no longer owned by U.S. Music Corp. but has been purchased by Marshall Amplification. Yes, THAT Marshall Amplification.

So, what does this mean for Eden? I've bulleted the main points below, after which is a greeting and message from Luke Green, the new Brand Manager for Eden.

Eden will now be able to take advantage of Marshall's vast distribution network in Europe and throughout the rest of the world.

Eden will remain its own entity completely separate from Marshall.

Eden will keep its USA identity and more of Eden's manufacturing will return from off shore back to the United States.

U.S. Music Corp. will remain the Eden distributor for North America.

Key members of the Eden team will continue to work for Eden.

Under the leadership of Luke and with the backing of Marshall, Eden will move forward and continue to grow with its legendary bass products and innovative new products.

I think this is actually great news for Eden. I find it sad when some of the best makers of bass equipment fall under manufacturers looking to compete against behringer and crate (examples of the lesser expensive brands - no hate) and they fail. They just cheapen the brand and turn off users such as myself. This deserves a second look. However, do you know if the Eden cabinets USA will still be made at Washburn?

No idea what will be produced in the US. I agree it was a best outcome for the brand. Marshall's bass entries have always been hit and miss IME so it's good for both lines.

Hooked it up last night running it through my Schroeder 1212 and a Schroeder Mini 12. Just could not clean up the bottom end nicely enough and the top end got brittle quickly. I started with the 1212 horn turned off and brought it up slightly which helped. However, that bottom end goes to mud quickly. Any sugestions? Also, heard no real difference in the 5 position mid control knob

take a look at the epifani ul501.

its all US designed and made ( via italy:)) and is insanely loud with a punch that will knock your socks off!

just add a couple medium sized cabs (410 or 212) and your set!!
