New amp inbound: Ashdown Guy Pratt

I have a new amp on the way! I got a great deal on reverb for an Ashdown Guy Pratt Signature amp. Should sound great through my Ampeg 2x12 Cabinet.

I had the geezer signature and was VERY impressed, I’m sure this will be just as nice.

This amp would be my absolute final rig amp if I was still giggling these days. Love the sound and simplicity. Guy Pratt's playing is a great sell too

Heard of Geezer, never heard of Guy.
Pretty cool dude, played in a lot of bands/session work. I'm sure his sig amp will perform nicely for you!!

Not sure, I’ve never owned a trace. I do know these have a very nice sound.

I love the steam gages, and would love to hear those crazy 310 + tweets cabs.

This all seems so British, as if they need to be delivered by a Morgan or a vintage Ford Transit.

Man, yeah I wish it was realistic for me to gig 2 of the 3x10’s. Right now I’m going to run it through one of the SVT 212AV cabs by ampeg. Speaking from experience, that cab with an Ashdown will be crazy loud.

Even on the winery gigs I was doing last year I never turned my Geezer ashdown up past half. People said they could FEEL the bass lolol


Yes, I really dig the aesthetic of this amplifier. Sound wise, it seems to be cleaner than the ashdown geezer, but we’ll see when it arrives.

If I ever need a solid state head, that is the one I will look at... for now, I'm done forever hunting amps with my 200 watt valve head from Ashdown sitting on a pair of 2x12" Bag End cabinets.

Congrats on the purchase, Mark and crew are some of my favorite in the business.

It’ll be here in a couple weeks. My drummer still works at the music store I used to work at. I get a pretty steep discount on ampeg cabs. 60% or so.
